All oil & gas production wells generate wastewater, commonly called ‘produced water’. Produced water composition varies between regions, but generally speaking, this wastewater is contaminated with volatiles and semi-volatiles organic compounds; hydrocarbons, residual polymers and residual biocides; along with a range of total dissolved solids. Normally, produced water is disposed either underground or in commercial oil field wastewater disposal facilities (COWDF).
The A3E FH2OX™ technology essentially decontaminates produced water, making it safe for reuse or disposal. Depending on the concentration of salts, the brackish water can be desalinated and reused; brine waters can be sold for industrial purposes.
A3E can provide semi-permanent systems for large scale treatment or smaller mobile systems to service multiple production well sites. A3E also offers mobile treatment services.
